Unoriginality: Just a Picture… or is it?!

Just a picture. Well, also a description. This is an LOLCAT (vocabulary word), students. There are two parts to an LOLCAT (That is, el-o-el-cat, or lol-cat): the CUTE CAT PICTURE and the FUNNY AND CUTE CAPTION. See, in this example, the CUTE CAT PICTURE is that sad/happy orange tabby. The FUNNY AND CUTE CAPTION is in white, reading, “I made you a cookie, but I eated it.” The FUNNY AND CUTE CAPTION usually uses SMS (or chatspeak). This makes it even funnier and cuter. This sample is my personal favorite LOLCAT.

Now, LESSON REVIEW!!!
Vocab:
Lolcat (el-o-el-cat or lol-cat): a picture consisting of a CUTE CAT PICTURE and a FUNNY AND CUTE CAPTION.
Cute Cat Picture: a cute picture of a cute kitty.
Funny and Cute Caption: a funny and cute caption that has been added onto the CUTE CAT PICTURE.

Good Job, students! And now for a quick LOLCAT quiz. Please put your answers in the comments!

1. What is the FUNNY AND CUTE CAPTION on the original LOLCAT?
2. Who is that strange cat poking his head through that hole in the ceiling!?
3. Find a link to the LOLCHART.
BONUS: Find your personal favorite LOLCAT! Mine is the one shown.
